There’s likely nothing better than a sunny beach day in Sicamous, where Mara Lake meets the Shuswap. It’s what summer is all about.
A beach day means more than just beach of course and in Sicamous, it means great food, groovy shops, and if you chose a Friday, then you can browse the evening Farmer’s Market set up on the main street.
Get a healthy start to the day at Blondies Cafe offering specialty coffee, fresh smoothies, wraps and sandwiches. Then, stroll the downtown and check out Beach Chik’s electric mix of all things beach from hats and flip flops to coolers and swim suits. You’re now all set to head to the beach and soak up the sunny skies, warm waters and sandy beach. Cool off afterwards at the newly renovated Brother’s Pub and enjoy a bevy and a bite on their patio.
No trip to Sicamous is complete without a trip to D Dutchmen’s Ice cream shop with dozens of locally made fresh ice cream flavours. Be sure to check out Fruit World across the street for an amazing selection of fresh fruit and produce.
End your day in Sicamous with a round of mini golf next to Lukies Store then stroll back to the beach to enjoy the epic Shuswap sunsets.
Check with local shops and restaurants for opening hours. Use precaution at the lake as the water is unusually high for this time of year. Covid health protocols in place. Thank you for your kindness and patience as tourism providers are doing their very best to create a memorable visit for you.
