Kicking Horse Canyon
The Kicking Horse Canyon Project is a 4.6 kilometre section of the Trans Canada Highway, located just east of Golden. Construction has begun, and the anticipated completion date is Winter 2024.
There are no extended closures planned at the Kicking Horse Canyon prior to April 12, 2021. During closures, a detour is available via Highways 93 and 95.
The Kicking Horse Canyon is the gateway to BC from Alberta, and travelers will be rewarded with incredible views, outstanding recreation opportunities and charming communities.
