We love winter in the Shuswap. Waterfalls transform into sculptural works of art and are a truly magical experience!  For a winter snowshoe adventure, a trip out to Albas Falls in Seymour Arm is for the intermediate recreator.  Margaret Falls is great for the whole family and is a winter wonderland! Notice how quiet the canyon sounds in the wintertime when the normal rush of water is muffled by ice. Watch for ice-climbers carefully making their way down Margaret Falls.
The sheer size of Kay Falls will have you in awe, especially when it is completely frozen. Other wonderful winter walks include Sicamous Creek Falls and Evelyn Falls in the North Shuswap. A pair of good hiking boots with microspikes will keep you safe and allow you to enjoy most winter trails.
