Walk of the Woods- Tree Costume making and Stilt Walking Workshops

As part of our ongoing project “Walk of the Woods”

Runaway Moon will be holding free, fun tree costume-making (and stilt walking) workshops in Salmon Arm on August 12 and 13 from 11 to 2, at the Salmon Arm Wharf (780 Marine Park Dr), August 16th from 2pm to 5pm at the Salmon Arm Wharf.

Everyone is welcome – the project is for all ages (children under 12 with an adult).

And, there will be an unusual opportunity to learn to walk on stilts, and thus become a very tall tree. Guest artist Renn Bankowski, a stilt performer and dancer, will be here with us at the same times and places.

The Walk of the Woods itself will happen in three places: at the Wharf in Salmon Arm on August 16th at around 625pm, at the Roots and Blues Festival, and finally at the Grindrod Garlic Festival on Sunday August 20th.
