The 22nd Annual Car Show at R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum

The 22nd Annual Car Show will take place on Sunday, August 13, from 10:00 am -2:00 pm, at the Shuswap’s largest heritage destination, R.J. Haney Heritage Village. Come early and start your day at the outdoor kitchen with a delicious pioneer pancake breakfast at 8:30 am. Enjoy a BBQ lunch with all the fixings starting at 11:30 am. The licenced Sprig of Heather restaurant will be serving a lunch special.
Admission at the gate is $12.00 adult, $10.00 senior, 6-17 years $9.00, 5 and under free! The family Rate of $30.00 includes two guardians and dependent children under 18.
The site is a favourite among car collectors and spectators from far and wide. In 2022 over 1000 people attended the show, and over 175 show vehicles were registered and displayed throughout the 12-acre Heritage Village.
Free registration and admission for show vehicles and drivers is from 8:00 am to 10:00 am. Registered cars and trucks will receive a commemorative Car Show ribbon to display and have the opportunity to win in the “People’s Choice Awards.” Everyone’s welcome to participate. With lots of shaded and grassy areas to park, this venue is a favourite among participants.
Attendees can pick up a ballot in the Museum to vote for their favourite vehicles in the “People’s Choice Awards.” The “People’s Choice” categories include Antique pre-1916, Vintage Pre 1942, American- Stock Only to 1969, American Stock Only 1970 and up (Modified Hot Rods and Custom up to 1969), Modified (Hot Rods and Custom 1970 and newer) and Foreign. 1st and 2nd place ribbons will be awarded in each class. People’s balloting will close at 1:00 pm, with ribbons awarded at 1:45 pm.
Musical entertainment is the local musical group Green Room. Elaine Holmes and Lawren Clark are the Salmon Arm talent who make up this duo. Their repertoire combines many original songs with creative mashups and re-interpretations of pop, jazz, Latin, and blues-style music that will keep the car show crowd singing and dancing.
