Wild Motherhood- Becoming Mother Prenatal Yoga & Sound Bath

September 15 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

$30

WildMotherhood: Becoming Mother Prenatal Yoga

WildMotherhood: Becoming Mother Prenatal Yoga Series gathers once a month at Sweetfreedom Yoga Studio to weave together a network of connection with other expecting mums in the community. This class was created with the soul purpose to bring mothers together to build a strong sense of support and belonging as we navigate the most profound and heroic journeys of our lives- Becoming Mother! This is a space to speak freely about the ups and downs of your growing and expanding bodies and be around other mums who can resonate with what you are going through and offer words of encouragement and offer resources. It is through these gatherings we can get back to the traditional “It takes a Village” mindset and remove the societal constraint of having to do it all on your own. We as women were never meant to do motherhood independently, we were meant to do it with sisters, mothers, grandmothers, at our sides. Wild Motherhood Series believes that the root of well rounded, happy and thriving children begins with supported, nurtured, and cared for mothers surrounded in sisterhood and community.

Angela will guide you through a series of supportive yoga poses and breathing techniques that will ease your body and mind from any aches and pains from your growing body and prepare you mentally and physically for the great journey of childbirth. Angela will also guide you in meditation that connects you to your body, babe, your ancestors and the earth as a way to ease any anxiety and fears surrounding labor and childbirth. Each class will be co-facilitated by another practitioner to pull in new elements of support and nourishment! This event is Co Facilated by Kate Fagervik and her band (aka The Bowls).
