Martin Harley in Concert with Special Guest Steph Clifford
May 9 @ 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm
$31.26For three decades, UK singer-songwriter Martin Harley has captivated audiences worldwide. He is an extremely talented acoustic roots and blues guitarist, singer and songwriter with a burgeoning global reputation. Renowned for his prowess as a slide guitarist, he is almost unique in the UK for his lap slide playing. Guitarist Magazine said “Harley offers the listener a masterclass in taste, style and roots blues” while the Guardian called his performances “spellbinding”. His sold-out shows at venues like London’s Union Chapel and appearances at Glastonbury and the Royal Albert Hall were some of his highlights, along with opening for Bonie Raitt on her shows in Ireland last year.
Harley has a remarkable habit of embarking on once-in-a-lifetime musical journeys. His music is profoundly shaped by travel, collaboration, and unconventional experiences on the road — including performing in unique locations and working with international artists. Born in Cardiff, Wales Harley toured the UK by bicycle, played a gig high atop a mountain in the Himalayas with six other musicians and toured through West Africa, where he played with local musicians, including Malian desert blues singer and guitarist Vieux Farka Toure.
His latest release, Morning Sun, produced by Nigel Stonier, showcases his finest songwriting to date, with inventive contributions from Michael Blair, Mark Lewis, and Chris (CJ) Hillman. Harley’s heartfelt music continues to push boundaries in contemporary roots.
He has been nominated for Instrumentalist of the Year and Best Acoustic Blues Artist by the Americana Music Awards and, at the 2025/26 UK Blues Awards, for Acoustic Artist of the Year and Traditional Artist of the Year..
