Indigenous Painted Feather Workshop

July 14 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

$10.

Join us for a Painted Feather Workshop using the Metis Dot technique.
Sunday May 5th 1:00pm-3:00pm
Feather painting is a delicate and intricate art form where feathers serve as the canvas for intricate designs, scenes, or patterns. Typically practiced by skilled artisans and indigenous communities worldwide, feather painting often involves techniques such as using natural pigments, dyes, or paints to embellish the feather’s surface. Artists may employ fine brushes, airbrushes, or even traditional methods like finger painting to create stunning imagery that enhances the natural beauty of the feather. Feather painting is not only a means of artistic expression but also a way to honor and respect the natural world, as feathers are often symbolic of freedom, spirituality, and connection to nature in many cultures.
