16th Annual Heritage Week February 2011 At the Mall At Piccadilly
“A Century of Conservation Parks and Cultural Landscapes” Heritage displays by R.J. Haney and various other groups plus entertainment all week. We also have a silent auction for 3 days and on the Saturday an old fashioned pie contest, live pie auction, craft stations for the kids and a pancake breakfast. This is a partnership event between R.J. Haney Heritage Village and Museum and the Mall at Piccadilly. This years theme is celebrating parks and protected areas.
Easter Egg Hunt Sorrento / Blind Bay - April
This annual event is sponsored by the Sorrento Lions Club & River of Life Church. This event is free to all; Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Bonnet Competition, Hot Chocolate & Hot Dogs. The Easter Bunny will arrive via the South Shuswap Volunteer Fire Departments Fire Truck.

Falkland Stampede & Rodeo
It started in 1919, just after the war, as a picnic which has grown over the years to a three day rodeo. People from all over the world have come to our little town to take in this jam packed, fun filled stampede. Professional cowboys participate for prizes worth over $45,000.For over 90 years the volunteers have worked hard to make this May long weekend one you will never forget!
Shuswap Lake International Writers Festival
The Shuswap Lake International Writers Festival brings together poets, writers, publishers and storytellers over a three day festival. WOW Wednesday on the Wharf
WOW! is a series of summer Wednesday evening musical concerts at Salmon Arm's Marine Park. Musical styles ranging from jazz to rock, funk to folk are offered from June through to the end of August. Held in the Park's gazebo, listeners are invited to bring a deck chair or blanket and enjoy the music. Concerts begin at 7pm, and go until 8:30pm. Admission is by donation.

Shuswap Rock Club Open House Show and Sale
Annual Show and Sale - members enjoy searching for and creating art objects from the rocks and minerals found throughout the area. At the club’s summer sale, members feature demonstrations of lapidary, wire-wrapping, bead making and soap stone carving plus provide interesting activities for children and adults alike. Among items for sale are crystals, soapstone, glass beads, rock specimens, and jewellery made by members. Admission to the show is free.
